Catherine's Story
I'm a Vietnam Era Veteran! I went into the Navy in 1967 & I was stationed at Pier 91, Naval Supply Center, Puget Sound, in Seattle, Washington. I was the first woman photographer on that base. My life has been totally exciting, I absolutely loved photography & all my photos are a part of Navy history! I met my husband while in the military. He was a paratrooper with 173rd Airborne Brigade. He's from Lewistown, Montana. We were married in 1970 in Westbury but, we slowly made our way back to the west coast. We lived in Cincininati, OH, Pullman, WA, Salt Lake City, UT & for the past 25-years in Reno, Nevada. We have "2" adult children, "5" gr...Expand for more
andchildren including, miracle twin boys (who weighed 3 lbs each at birth) & we have "1" great-grandson due in May! I recently retired after 32-years with the Federal government. I truly enjoyed promoting Safety & I was the Western Regional Safety Coordinator of a National Safety Campaign called Share-the-Road/No Zone with the US Department of Transportation. I know many of you since 2nd grade & transferred with that group from Bowling Green Elementary. We spent 6th grade (in 1960) through graduation 1966 at W. Tresper Clarke.
